Will it ever be restored to its prior capabilitites? LS1tech has the best technical information to be searched, but nothing comes up these days. I don't want to clutter up anything by asking something that's already been asked a dozen times, but there is little choice.

Any timeline on when or if it will be fixed?

works for me...

Clicked search
Entered words
and it brought back articles...

I used it monday also for some research on crane lifters... brought back articles dating back to board creation...

Are you talking about teh fact that you can't specify search all forums ? That option shouldn't really be needed... just search the appropriate section...

"maf ends" turns up nothing in external engine. "Dual cutouts" and "dual cut outs" returns nothing in external engine (except my post today), QTP returns nothing prior to Feb 4, 2003.

All the 2002 post in FI seem to be missing in action also. I haven't really tested any other forums but, it seems that the search has a few little bugs crawling around in it.

I'll try some tests, but we never prune any tech sections.

I agree. As a test I entered in the EXACT wording of a particular topic that was only one day old. The search came back with no results. The last three times I tried the search feature it was useless.

Lemme check again...

I got a test for you John. Go the Drag Racing section and do searches, subject only, for STOCK INTERNAL, stock internal, quickest, Quickest, list, or even the exact subject name of "Quickest STOCK INTERNALS List - 11.96 bump!"

You will not return the stock internals list even though it is on THE FIRST PAGE in the Drag Racing section.

Today I couldnt even find a post that I started a while back. I had to look for it the long way. I remember a couple of nights ago around 12:30 or so it said that the site was down because of work taking place on the search feature but its still a lil messed up.

Yes, I too have noticed this issue. I can't get anything to come up in the tuning section...

I'll rebuild those sections late tonight. I think the last index file rebuild I attempted didn't complete, it seemed to have stopped after forum 19 (Texas) and we have alot more forums after that.

Should be an easy fix, a few hours.

Yeah I'm having issues with search as well. Can't
find much of anything in the appearance section.
