site seems slow lately.
but i do think its slowing down some....i just got 80 emails from threads i was subscribed to, and the past few days i havent been notified at all...then they all just came at once.lol.

I have been noticing the decrease in speed as well. I've just closed the page and given up a few times, I can't stand having to wait 30+ seconds for every move I make. Guess I'm kinda spoiled. 
I actually came into this forum to see if anyone had said anything about the PM limit that I just noticed has been moved up. I was very close to asking about the speed of the site a couple days ago. I think it's been most noticeable in the late afternoon/evening.

so i guess they just decided to up the limit. which is good, 100 isnt really alot at all. it gets full quick
That's when our usage is the highest, and incidentally also when search engines seem to index us most aggressively. I guess their logic is to index outside of the "normal" US business hours.
Anyway, things should be improving steadily as I performance tune everything again. Its not a quick process, and its definitely not an easy process
I always found it somewhat interesting that many forum administrators simply throw money at it to try making their performance issues go away. I've seen forums smaller than ours, with 9 servers to handle the load. We have two.

We have two. is the search feature for the truck section going to work properly. ive noticed when i do a search for, lets say, gauges...it will give me a thread started in the truck section, but when i click on it, it just takes me to a general forum at the new truck site....not the thread. then i have to go searching all over again. not a problem, just not what i was expecting to do.
Raising the PM box limit is nice, however now i'll just wait untill 200pm's to clear it out

Yea, a little slow here also. That's why I came to this section to see if others were having problems. However, it sounds like the problems are being sorted out. I have also noticed quite a few guys coming from the other sites. I do suggest this a lot though (to check this site out) as this is the premier site for tech info on the ls1/ls6.
