yeah it is. This time at night for the past week or so, it woudl either time me out on every page load, or take a minimum of five to ten minutes to load the page. Last night I was clicking links in the lounge, and then watching segments of SuperTroopers before it would load!! Anyway thanks again guys!!

BTW - the database move is only one part of the equation... I've also set up database replication, which means I now need to hack up a bunch of code to make vBulletin use the slave server for search. That will not only maintain peak site performance, but will also allow us to bring back some much-loved search features like the New Posts and search all posts by user feature

You woulda had to have waited till like Tuesday to get it in the mail anyway. And then you would probably spend a couple days in the hospital from eating 3 day old Taco Bell. You should be thanking me.

Dude, you're the only one that would ever sift through more than 250 results. Normal people would revise their search

Ru2n00n3er: yeah, probably right

You think I don't revise my searches?? I was just trying to ask what exactly you meant by 'bring back the search all posts by user feature', since I have been able to search by user just fine - so presumably either you're referring to expanded results, or else it was shut off for non-staff at some point and I was not aware of it. It's not a complex question - if you're going to post a reply anyway, why couldn't you actually answer?
