Whats the differance? My sig says Sig pic removed. Site limit is 500w by 150h. and my pic is 447 x 160 10 picxels high but 53 less long Whats the differance?

If it doesn't fit within that 'box' on all sides, it's not correct. Just follow the dang rule. (And don't go putting your image back in -- without bothering to remove the warning text, lol -- without having resized it correctly!!!)
If we make arbitrary exceptions, the size rule loses all meaning. "Oh, that guy's was just x amount off and you said it's okay, why can't mine be that plus a little bit more?"
I think you can somehow manage to cope with losing 10px of trees.
