What happened to the icon?
What happened to the icon? What happened to the icon that used to show up that shows when you have posted to a thread (you know, the envelope with the little black dot in the center)? i'm obviously logged in, otherwise i wouldn't be posting this right now, and it is not showing up on either my work or home computer....at work, i use IE & Maxthon browsers, and at home, i have IE, Maxthon, & Firefox.....none of the browsers show this little icon anymore......

It is kinda annoying not having it, but I guess we'll get used to it.
Here's another idea... how about deleting all the accounts that people haven't logged in for over a year. Would that help speed this up?

Nah, the number of accounts doesn't really have an effect. Its the number of threads and posts that the database has a problem with. 
We've already started archiving some old threads (temporarily) until I finish developing a solution that is more permanent.

Everyone gets all upset when mods lock their threads. They ask redundant questions, and, IMO, they should have the common sense to know that the question has been asked many times before. Oh well, that'll never end.
