Default Post count

Hey, just curious why my post count has been stuck at 300 for about 10-15 posts now.
Is it a permissions thing?

I don't think I've ever posted there since I've been a member oddly enough.
I'm usually in Drag/Internal Engine tech/for sale sections.

This was RIGHT above your thread:https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/208057-posts-do-not-count-some-forums.html

Might try checking stickies in the forums before you post up a question

I actually never really cared, but I thought there was a problem between my computer at home and the one at work, because my updated threads were different too.

This may have been the second time I've been in the user section so I apologize for not seeing it.

My post count is not as much as others because I don't feel the need to say, "nice dyno numbers", or "great pass", or "this shop is the greatest from what I've heard", a 1000 times, but I have been here since the beginning.

So when it stops it's easy to notice.
Thanks, rant off.

And the funny part is that when the question comes up in thread form it is right next to the "Post don't count in these sections" sticky like you said earlier Travis!

Maybe 'cuz the whole concept of having forums with post counts disabled is horse ****. There are a lot of folks that use these boards as a resource for tech as well as trade but dont give a crap about the same ole **** that gets hashed out over and over...

Sorry this has bugged me a long time.

And without trolls, senseless bickering, and threads started like this, there would be no need for moderators, so what's your point?

I stated what I did as a mistake, why don't you lock the thread so you don't get twenty responses from both sides causing it to eventually get locked anyway?

Sorry this has bugged me a long time.

Now I understand why you have "Team PMS Racing" in your signature. Chill out dude! If you think its horse ****, feel free to leave and populate another forum, such as hardcorels1, I'm sure they'll appreciate your membership.

I'm plenty chilled. Geez dude, it wasn't a personal attack or anything... I was just speaking my mind a little. Mainly bc several guys were jumping ssvalet for not understanding the post count thing. I kinda see where Tony was coming from but it really doesnt make sense and seems a bit extreme. If you have 50 posts all in the for sale forum and have had good transactions b4 then who cares if you post elsewhere heavily. That would be a much better indicator of someone's trustworthiness as a seller/buyer. Why 50 posts in the racing section hugging on someone's nuts is gonna make you a better trader I dont know. There are alot of good things this site has done to minimize people getting ripped off. Like the min of 6 mos OR 50 posts, and the trader rating system, and the feedback forum. I just think that the disabled post count thing is too much. Anyway, I have never before and will never again mention the subject. However, I've been a member here a long time too and helped keep sponsors in business... so why dont you feel free to take a long walk off a short pier.

Yeah, I guess you were joking when you told me to feel free to populate another forum... funny.

Oh no... Not the "mature" crap again... apparently when the guy called the thread starter a moron for not reading the stupid sticky that was AOK in your book... you felt free to chime in as such.

BTW, I would never take anything from someone who has 6300+ posts on a message board personally... or seriously.

Feel free to bash me more based on the one opinionated comment I had...

You crack me up dude! You made a comment about some of our policies being horseshit, so I simply made the comment if you don't like them, then leave. Its that simple. Not telling you to, asking you to, or anything of the sort. Just stating - you don't like it - then leave. Then you won't have to put up with our horseshit policies.

Vendetta is a big boy, he can make decisions for himself. All I said is that it would never end - referring to the relentless reposting of questions. If thats a personal attack, then you need to revisit your definition of some terminology.

If you're gonna start pointing fingers, please at least be accurate.

And if you think post count is unimportant, then why care whether we have it turned off in some forums?

It's not as if it's that great an imposition on people to expect them to do a bit of decent contributing to the site before taking advantage of it to sell stuff for free, either.

I really think these idiots that ask these stupid questions on these boards, especially for not reading the stickies, should be banned. If this was my site, I would be kickin em off left and right, then us smart guys could enjoy it on our own without the morons.

Hey SSValet, if you don't know proper message board etiquette...then get some coaching...its that simple jackass. Also, don't apologize afterwards and try to be nice because you have already proven your unworthiness to use this site. We, the forum experts, reserve the right to bash you at any time because, well....... I didn't want to say it but, quite frankly......we're just better than you.
