Default 1/8th mile forum

Whats the possibility of adding a 1/8th mile forum for those of us unlucky ones who dont have a 1/4 track anywhere near?

I don't recall the drag racing forum being specific concerning lengths.

If you really want to get into one, you could take a trip sometime. Some people don't have even a 1/8 mile track nearby.

Looks like the 1/4 mile track closest to you is probably Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, FL.

Some others, farther away from upper Florida:
Orlando, FL
Cecil, GA
Bradenton, FL
West Palm Beach, FL

I'm with ya on that.I'm a firm believer in driving my car to the track, racing and driving it home. It's a little harder, and riskier for me to drive an 1.5 hrs to the 1/4 mile track when I can drive 10 mins to the local "outlaw 1/8 mile track" where everbody knows your name. The last time I went to the 1/4 mile track I ran a 12.65 but since I now run 7.0's in the eighth it would kind of suck to be in the 12 sec club

At least you have a 1/4 that close. Nearest one to me is about 3 hrs away Not worth driving that far to me and getting my whopping 9mpg. The 1/8th mile tracks are an hour away as well

9 MPG?!?! You have a bigass bore or something?

Change your damn fuel filter, maybe it'd help! I went from 15.5 MPG to 20+ after a fuel filter swap and seafoam.

If you're getting under 15mpg in an LSx motor, you're doing something wrong.

Jeez that must suck for you. The nearest one to me is 20 minutes (if that) away.

I see no reason for a 1/8 mile forum, might as well include a 0-60 and 60-ft forum as well. I have no problem driving a long distance to race. The best hooking 1/4 mile track is 238 miles one way from my area and worth it.
