why refresh Why do i always have to refresh a page as soon as i get there. No matter where i go on this site as soon as i open a page i have to refresh to get the newest thing. For example when i post something and come back I have to refresh so that i can see my post. On a thread I have to refresh so that I can see everyone that has responded on a thread. There are more scenarios but i am sure you understand what i am talking about. Please help for I am computer illiterate.
You're an AOL member, and AOL runs everybody through proxy servers. Proxy servers cache information as people browse the internet, and if someone else requests the same URL, you get what THEY saw instead of actually pulling the information from the server. Hitting F5 requests a refresh, and the AOL proxy server then realizes you want the current data and passes the request on to the actual web server.
That's only one of the things AOL does to screw with their users. There's a huge list of other things they do that make them suck, like horribly screwing up images with bad compression to "accelerate" modem users.

AOL is just as bad as EasyCDCreator, all it does is **** with your computer.
