question about search feature
question about search feature When I try to search for certain words which I know will be contained in posts I need, it will return no results.
Example:
I cut and pasted "displacement," from a post in internal engine to the search, then searched for that term, and it returned no results.
Just wondering why it would do this, if maybe there is something wrong with the search feature.

Re: ? About search feature I did some forum pruning yesterday.
I prune non-tech forums, but not dragracing or any racing foru.
I also rebuilt the search features but I might need to rebuild the search features of the whole site. I will try to do that tomorrow afternoon.

Re: ? About search feature something is definately wrong with search feature.... I tried "MAF" in external engine and only 4 answers came back.
Today I tried "berger" in apperance section and none came back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Search is fubared.
I will rebuild it in 5 minutes.
The old threads are there. Look at the post count. It's the same as last week plus a few thousand.
I went thru this on Friday with something, all the old posts are there.

Let me know if you continue to get errors but we'll have to run the rebuild last at nite otherwise it might take 4-5 hours on this dialup I am on right now.
