In case you are still doing "research":
I have searched the whole db and specific forums for the same terms and get timed out, or my fave, nothing happens at all.

I tried all of those in general mega search, and in specific forums: stereo and electronics, interior, FI (for the oil pump) and for sale, respectively. It's "borked" righteous. It's like I have gone back in time when I didn't have an automated helper monkey to sift through the db to find what I want. I miss the helper monkey...

if its any help... i get timed out
but sometimes if i just hit the stop button when i can see its not going to work (ie it takes to long) and hit search again, it will work
in the event of that not working i click search until your database throws up and gives me what i want

Tried your stop button technique and got it to work once... it's tough getting it to go on any forum whether standard search, advanced, title only, whatever ... I get a timeout each time. PITA because I've got a couple of issues I need to do some research on.

I am having the same issue with the timed out, but I am sure the guys are working on this problem. We will have to be patient I guess, I survived the last time the search was down too.

I either get a "request time out" or "there seems to be a problem with the ls1tech database" 
What I've noticed works for me. If I do a search and just let it go it will just sit there for a minute or two and then time out, every single time 
. The little loading bar on the bottom left of the screen won't even move. Well, one time on accident I hit the wheel on the mouse (actually clicked it) and suddenly the bar loaded half way through. Then about ten to twenty seconds later it loaded all of it. Been doing this now and found that it works for me 9/10 times. Hope that helps.
