I agree with you but,I still end up seeing quite a few ..

"Got pulled over last night","I f*cked up,got a DWI","Can they ticket you for no front license plate?" (My fave....),.....etc...etc...in the Texas forum. Not complaining, but I could see the use for a "Legal Questions" forum/sub-forum.

Just like I have heard that nobody wants to make an exhaust forum but, complaints and complaints are posted about people asking which headers they should buy...Most of LS1tech (tech sections) are plastered with "which headers,What catback and what is a cutout" questions....I still say it could be best to pool all those questions into one forum for exhaust....hey but thats another thread right? And until I start paying the bills around here,I'll leave that to the admins...

one thing you need to know is that every keyboard cowboy out there is going to "think" they know the law....

secondly not to hate on the mods....but just because they are who they are doesnt mean there going to know about the law or whether someone or their source's are right....

all in all this thread wont happen and probably just wouldnt work period....

A law forum, how dumb. That way all the internet lawyers can come out and give great advice to everyone. Its bad enough the street racing forum is already filed with internet racers, now we just need internet lawyers.

Dont forget a cooking forum and a fashion forum. I think we also need an astrology forum.

While legal advice might be helpful, we do not feel that LS1TECH should be the source of your legal knowledge. That is all we need is for some dumbass to interpret some law printed on this site and lose a case over it and blame the site. We'd rather avoid the potential negatives here.

Definite nightmare for a forum.
It would go beyond "I got a ticket" in a NY minute and want moderators to start suing buyers and sellers too.

As much as we all try to help you all on that, it is to the point where I'd like to see it gone IMO.

I agree with you.

The problem with people lies not in their ignorance, but what they no that isn't so. Opening a law forum to essentially draw upon the collective knowledge of LS1Tech's members would result in more supposition than articulate and factual information.

im starting my second year as a law student. I'd be glad to contribute what i know as fact, and direct others to more pertinant places to get state and municiple laws and codes.

the problem with the thread would be geographic in nature, we could post federal laws that apply to everyone, along with NHRA, IHRA's (others?) regulations, EPA emission info and other universally applicable regulation.

we'd have to direct everyone to their individual state's blue book for traffic code. however, many places have similar laws and places like texas and cali would easily draw knowledgeable, firsthand info.
