Another SEARCH thread!!

Search is HAULIN *** for me now. Usually I hit enter and then while it searches I click on my other windows that are open. Well now I didn't even get my hand on the mouse and already had the results up.

Whew, I can put the knife down now.

Seriously though, search response time is a complex blend of number of people on the site, number of people searching, what you're searching for, and how recently the topic you're searching for was discussed. During times of high load, we may still be forced to temporarily switch to the Google search to keep the site responsive.

Yup... Same here... How will I ever figure out how long the engine stand bolts are supposed to be?! ARGH!

It's useless.

"Search unavailable" would be far more useful than the google results.

google actually works really well if you include "+" symbols and finally end with ls1tech.

but should we ahve to do that? as proud of itself as ls1tech is, you'd think it would put an end to all of the search problems no matter what it takes. Too bad any time someone has a problem with the search it is blown off as "we're just so big that it has to be that way" which is rediculous

same here, its pissing me off. if i wanted to google search, i would have went to google to search

whats annoying is i try to search in just one forum, and it google searchs the whole site, why?
