also it doesnt sort things correctly by date anymore. this is especially frustrating when trying to search in the "for sale" forum as everyday there's hundreds of new posts and its impossible to go through each one. hopefully this'll all be fixed soon.

Why wouldn't you want the "old" threads archived? I thought you (LS1Tech) don't want people "resurrecting" old threads anyways? It seems as though modeling your search off of one like the CF would be the best of both worlds, the search would always work and you wouldn't have people bringing back 3-4 year old threads. Seems like you are trying to re-invent the wheel unnecessarily IMO.

Don't forget some of us newbies still use very old threads in helping us to learn some things. Would suck if there was a huge thread discussion on a certain topic that happened to be deleted because it was old. A good thread can have a lot of valuable information to someone like myself who's pretty new to the LSx world. Just something to keep in mind. Hope to see the fixes soon... I too miss the "Search In This Thread" tool. Thanks to the admins for making the site better.

The archived threads don't get deleted, you can still search for and read them, they just cannot be posted in, they are "locked" for lack of a better term. They are forever searchable, they just can't be posted in once they are "archived".

Guys, we get it, its not working correctly. We know. Please, just hang tight and deal with the inconvenience. There is NOTHING that can be done until Brains gets back, and even then, it won't be fixed over night.

Since nobody cares to read any of the stickies I've put up there, I'm going to be locking all threads regarding the search feature except the sticky that is open for comments. All the info you need re: search is in those threads, so deal with it.
