Very Disappointed in the Search fetaure Here
Search feature has always been a problem here (sporadically), however, in the past few months I have not been able to use it to search by user ID at all ... only in the individual threads. Why is the search feature disabled to search 'by name'? I depended on it in the past. Now, I have to try and remember what thread I posted in just to find a reply. It's very disappointing to see a forum I loved so much go downhill and not be robust anymore in it's abilities to search.
... yeah, try one.

Well, given that I believe there is one guy (Brains) working on it part time and this site gets a LOT of traffic and they are trying to minimize the impact to the users, it's up to him.
I can understand the frustration you have, but as an IT guy I can understand that we are far beyond the limits of the software that the site is built on. I can picture a nice server room with cables running all over the place to keep it together. One of the best features of this site is that EVERYTHING from day one of this site is still live (unarchived). It's like asking to search the Library of Congress for a certain page of a certain book. There are thousands of users on this site everyday, so I would imagine the load is great.
Anyways, I would imagine they are going to lock this thread soon. So all I can say is to have patience. I know it's hard; we all feel it.
