Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes..... what are these "mod markers" for?

It shows the mods which threads have been read they bump it up and they keep track of it like that.

When you have a section where it only takes an hour for the top post to end up on the 2nd page, you easily lose track of what threads you've browsed and which ones you have not.

"Marker" threads are a way to see what posts are new since you have checked a section.
