Default Why was my post deleted?

I entered an in depth post Tuesday afternoon in the Internal Engine forum, looking for information about the possibilities of doing a heads/cam install on my car. I am a novice on this subject, and was looking for some good info. I was off line until now(because I was on the road on business all night), and now I see a new post responding to my original post that was deleted. Can anyone tell me why my post was deleted without any communication with me about it?

Why should we use this forum to ask questions, if our questions are just going to be deleted at will?

Makes no sense to me.

What a pain to have to type that all again.

Please calm down. Just because a post comes up missing doesn't automatically mean that it was purposely deleted. There could have been a software issue, or it could have been done by accident. We have not purposely deleted your thread, sorry it was lost in the shuffle. It happens sometimes.

I'd like to add that similar things have happened to threads I've started. Sometimes they seem to disappear into thin air. Now, after making a new post, I'll immediately go back and verify that the post is there (INTERNAL ENGINE, etc.). In actuality, the post I had entered never "took", which caused me to resubmit the question at hand.
Please excuse my earlier comment, but it was meant to be a parody of my feelings(excommunicated from ls1tech.com!)after experiencing similar situations.

I'm calm. I probably deleted it myself on accident, or maybe not. I guess I was only upset because I thought it was deleted intensionally. I was wrong. No hard feelings for anyone.

Thank you all for trying to help.
