Default 1997 trans am??

Year: 1997
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $6000
Mileage: 142768
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Color: White
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

I am looking to see what I can get out of my 1997 trans am. The car has le1 heads, rebuilt 355 forged pistons, lt4 hot cam, 24x connection ignition, rebuilt trans with 3200 edge racing converter 2002 camaro torsen rear end, on Z06 wheels nitto 315s in the rear. I am sure I am
missing a lot. I am open to cash or trades, I would like something closer to stock or at least, does not have to be an fbody . Located in 91740. 626-827-3431

Not to be a dick..but not for that price.. 8k can get you a similarly modded LS1 car with lower miles. More of a 4-5k car IMHO. Clean car glws.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...ite-paint.html. But then again in your opinion this must be a $2000 car.

Unfortunately you never get what you put in this hobby out of it. That car has 70k less on the odo. And its sitting at 4700 and been for sale since November..

You are definitely correct you never get what you put into these especially Lt cars. And yes he will probably have to drop to around 4k. But darn near everything in my car has been upgraded or replaced odometer should not mean everything but unfortunately it means a lot.

Sell it for what you want. If it sits for a while and no one calls then your gut will tell you to lower the price. The odometer only matters to cry babies and collectors. If the car's not thrashed and the suspension is up to par like the engine, that's all that should matter. Until lately, I DD'd and drove the hell out of my TA, it has more miles than I'd like to share (lol) and still runs better and looks cleaner than cars with half its miles. You have a clean car, I like it. I'm sure it will hand a lot of these LS1's their ***. If you're hungry for the cash and want to sell ASAP, I'm sure you'll have to drop the price to move it. But if you're just sitting on it and have time to spare, leave it up for sale for a bit. Make sure its up on Craigslist and make a small investment into an Auto Trader ad. The right buyer will come along eventually. GLWS

Thanks Jeremy the car is definitely clean inside and out, the brakes have even been swapped to ls1 brakes. It has suspension upgrades also, LCA, sub frame connectors, upgraded torque arm, poly mounts and bushings. I spent way too much time and money to let her go for 5k and I am not in a huge hurry to sell, but sure would like to sell her for near my asking price.

Good looking car man. As stated before, if you don't have to sell it, then hold on to it until the right buyer comes along. It will happen with time. I know i could sell mine quicker if i dropped the price but that's the beauty of not hurting for cash. GLWS
