It's been dyno tuned for a street use at the Performance Garage in Smyrna TN. With current tune it's putting 396.60 HP and 391.40 torque on the ground at the back wheels. I have the dyno paperwork with the car.
There's lots of little things left to do to the car. Some of the interior trim parts need to be put in (come with the car). The transmission crossmember is junk and needs to be replaced. It's butchered up and has the transmission is pulled slightly to one side.I can even feel the vibration as it drive The speedometer lead does not plug into the beastshell transmission. You will need the electrical plug from a stock 4L60E to hook it up. The transmission temperature lead is not hooked up. The car has full spool posi which is bad for the street. It comes with an acutal posi unit (spring loaded) to replace it with. Paint job sucks! White inlay in the dash cluster had moved and is rubbing the guages (showing wrong info because of the drag). Basically, it needs somebody to finish the details and paint it. It's just a bunch of pesky things. It runs and drive good. Handles like a dream! Even with the mild tune it will fly.
I'm deep in the car and was planning to list the car at $14k and still take a loss. However I need the car to go away so I can use the cash for another project. The first person to show up with $10k will own it. That price is firm, so don't insult yourself and offer less.
I have several pics of the car, just send me your email addy and I'll get them to you. I know it's the wrong websight to ask, but I will consider a trade for a vintage (65-73) Fastback or convertible Mustang.
Email me for pics and with questions at carz_n_partz AT yahoo DOT com.
You have to understand, I'm not up to speed with all the GM stuff but I'll tell you everthing I know about the car.
Please dont reply through this sight, email me directly.
Thanks
By the way, this was originally a V6 Firebird when it was born. Over $20k later it's a rocket that's cheap to insure. lol
