They must have pushed the Oil Change Light Button when they put in the Drive Shaft...

Just Kidding...The Oil Change light comes on after so many miles and can be reset by turning the key 2 the on position and pushing the gas pedal I think either 3 or 5 times...

I have heard of a couple of ways to get rid of it, I do both, just to be sure and it does go away.

1) Honestly I'm not quite sure about this one but its either...Turn the key to the position below off and back to off three times. Or turn the key to the position below off and hit the gas pedal three times.
2) Hold the trip/reset button for 18 seconds, I hold it longer to be sure.

Basically when that stupid light comes on, I do a lot of different things three times with the key positions (on and off) and gas and what not. And then I hold the trip/reset button for 20+ seconds. It goes away each time, but I have still yet to figure out which one actually clears the light, lol, I'm kinda leaning towards the trip/reset method. I'm going to do only that next time to find out. This is not a joke either.

Yeah, have fun with those ridiculous looking valve covers and individually bolted coils. Not to mentions the inferior PCM.

This is the way to do it. It is 16 seconds but some people count faster and some people count slower, so just hold it until the light goes out.

The gas pedal method didnt work for me on my 2002 SS. I had to hold the trip meter. The oil change light will flash then turn off.

to reset the light you turn the ignition on,but not the starting the car. push the reset mile trip button. hold it done for 12 seconds until the light flashes. its in the manual.
