Mac OS X Install Discs
Mac OS X Install Discs Does someone have the Mac OS X reinstall discs? I bought a used Mac Book Pro but I don't have the CD to reset the admin password.
Mac wants $17 a CD plus shipping but I only need them for a little bit. I'd pay shipping both ways and send it back as soon as I'm done.
Let me know guys. It'd be a real help.

You'll need the install discs for the same model and series of MacBook Pro for them to work, or some generic OSX discs (sold separately, didn't come with the computers).
Your cheapest and probably quickest option is to go down to an Apple store, and have the "geniouses" there either reset the password, or reinstall OSX.

I don't want to risk getting in trouble.
I don't think there's much risk involved with going to the Apple store. I've gone in there with Macs that aren't mine (friends, works, etc), and they've never asked about it. Never asked to see my ID either..
