oh and what i would recommend, write down the vin number, and there is a very nice guy on here who can pull up all the info, OR you can even call SLP and they will tell you if it is a real SS or not.

Also I was talking to the guy after I had checked for the WU8 code. From what I know the car is not a real SS(also checked carfax and it came up as a Z28 so this was kinda expected) and when I said this isn't a real SS only a Z28 the guy told me '98's and '99's didn't have a code for SS only 2000 and newer did. I find this hard to believe. So this guy just blowing smoke up my *** or what?

Also, the guy is wrong, all SS' had the WU8 code
