Ok I have a question I have never messed with a cut-out, on electric ones is there an indicator that tells you how open or closed it is? like how will you know when it is fully opened, or is it one of those things you have to manually check? Thanks noob question I know but hey don't ask don't learn.

Ohh and sorry for the thread hijacking I promise I won't do it again in this thread.

Yeah I understand that but how do you know they are fully opened or not? I know obviously the car will get slightyly (hehe only slighty) louder cause that wouldn't be fun for it to open and close.

It's either open all the way, or closed. You could peak under there every now and then to check to see that it still opens all the way when you hit the button. You'd probably notice it being slightly quieter if the motor started to only open it part way.

Gotcha that is what I was kinda thinking but i wasn't sure if they designed it to have a stop on the button when it fully opens or closes.

They are run off a momentary switch, you dont really know when to stop and holding the switch after the blade has stopped wears the motor faster. Check out qtps "controller", it synchronizes to two motors and monitors the blade movement, stopping when its at the desired position. My QTPs (on mycorvette)are now 2 years old and the DMH (on camaro) is 5 years old....just keep them clean and dont play with them, either will last...

racereadyperformance . com is the only way to go. good price and lifetime warranty. plus they are excellent to deal with. setup is very clean and efficient. i have heard of QTP's motors burning out quickly. i have had my racereadyperfomance cutouts for a year and a half with no problems what so ever and i use them quite often. they are on my 300C but i have only recently picked up my TA. cant go wrong buying from them.
