And I swear I was in the left lane at Irwindale twice and I couldn't leave the clutch in and the foot off the brake like I wanted too. Seemed like there was just enough of a grade to let my car slowly creep forward.

my car does that as well, its really hard to make it sit still but it can be done... i try to get there before the other car, try that and right when he is next to you let go of the brake
