Default window scraping

rolled the window down on the drivers side, and it scraped against something on the outside of it inside the door, i wiggled it and it went away, has anyone else had this happen to them and is there a fix for this? it made 3-4 scratches on the outside of the window. it happens about midway down the door

Sounds like the window pads, I replaced one of mine when it scratched my tint. If you look inside the door its a small brass looking with black fuzzy on it. Its about 2" wide. I got some from a salvage yard.

no from what I remember they can be adjusted/taken out with the window still in. Been a while now since I have taken the door panel off but I think you could do it. The 3rd gen run a similar style system with the pads. and they look like brass with about 1/4" thick balck brush tip head to them, but these get bent over time especially if they get out of adjustment.
