For the price they're very good clutches that can handle a good amount of power.

u could replace the slave/carrier bearing assembly if u wanted just check it when u have it out. and check your pilot bearing ive seen these get torn up often in f bods. and check the fly wheel less ur throwing a new one on. also change the trans fluid.

Slave and pilot bearing should be replaced, no questions about it.
The Monster clutch kit should come with a new billet flywheel.
4 quarts of Dex/Merc or Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.

Id go with a RPS twin ceramic if I could do it over again, not happy with my Tex, too much chatter.

ls7 clutch is a very hardy clutch, i have a customer launching on a nitrous shot on drag radials and some the clutch is still holding.... this car is making about 580 rwhp on the unit.... but by all means i do not recommend this with any single disc organic clutch...
with that said the textralia or monster will work (same clutch just one is green the is yellow) but in my opinion all of them drive like crap and chatter to some degree because no matter how you market it... it is still a puck metallic clutch disc and that is the nature of the beast. if you want great reliability and great power holding i offer the rps twin organic clutch for $1200 (flywheel, discs, plates and pressure plate) which has about 10% stiffer clutch preesure but engagment is nearly like stock, and no need for any aftermarket master or shim.... is isnt cheap but believe me the quality is there
