New to phoenix... Looking for shops
You might have better luck checking over on one of the Corvette forums. We do most of our own R&R here, not pay someone to do it for us. Most people on here, have the capacity to work on their own cars. So

Gearhead has closed its doors from what i hear. Az Automasters i would not trust. They worked on my next door neighbors car. They left a gum rapper in a gas tank while doing his fuel pump. AZPS would laugh at you if you showed up there with a LT1 when they were open. Topgear does top notch work for a fair price. That leaves one other place in the valley but i know nothing about them or even remember there name. Hope this helps.

I don't think the "dick" comment was aimed at you. What do you have against Top Gear? More specifically, what kind of work are you looking to have done? Maybe we can better suggest a place not limited to the east side.

It sure does sound like him now that you mention it. Also if you look at his comments he is not looking for a shop to get work done. He is looking to see where everybody goes to. He already knew about Gearhead and Az auto. He was just fishing.
Matt "custom fabricated" the biggest piece of **** exhaust system for me, and charged me WAYYY more than was reasonable.
My gut instinct when I first met him about ~3 years ago was that he was shifty.
