Default Chuckwalla Valley Raceway

There's a new race track being built out in the desert. It'll be similar to Willow Springs in the types of events and cost. Anybody else thinking of going once it opens?

I want to answer a few questions. 1st there is an open track day for cars on April 24-25 it is going to be a once a month event hosted by Star Auto Lapping the details will be available on our web site on the calendar section. Next there is a track map on our web site with all the ins and outs of the track. Also I would like to add that many of you have been referring to how fast this track is going to be. Well this is some truth to this but not as fast as you may think. We were able to put a few laps in today at the pavers request (car and bike) to check for problem areas. So the can work on fixing anything I did not like. There were very few (BTW) and what we found is that is a very flowing track just as we had hoped not nearly as fast as we all has thought. Yes it has places that you to put it on the floor or throttle stop but it is short lived as you head into any of the 17 corners that make you stand up and pay attention. Thank you all for the support as we have moved threw planning and construction and now as we get to play.

Chuckwalla is already on my schedule to run at the end of the year. It's marked tentative to ensure it'll be ready for racing, but looks like it will be.

There's another track slotted to be built close to Willow Springs called Fairmont Butte: http://www.fairmontbuttemotorsportspark.com/index.html

Fairmont is being built by long time racer/avid car collector Tom Malloy

Count me in at both venues once complete
