Power window problem. Regulator or motor??
Power window problem. Regulator or motor?? As we all know, the windows tend to stop half way up or down, but will close completely avenchaly. Motor or regulator? What is a regulator anyways?
Motor.
The regulator is the metal contraption that the window motor acts on to move the window up and down, seen here:

If the regulator was bad, the window would likely come up crooked or not close completely.

at that. 
it is your window motor, make sure to pay full attention NOT to drill out the rivits that hold the window mechanism. If you can see the rivets you may think you have to drill out, then its not them. The rivits you drill out of the original window motor are not seen untill you drill a hole on the door to get to them.
