Im not selling it right now. Do you see a for sale sign anywhere? Im thinking of what to get next for a street car. And Im not selling my SVO mustang those are getting rare by the day.

If your going to do a manual vette don't do a 2005. Get at least a 06. Went the C6 route a couple of times and came back to C5 Z06 and am much happier!

i also voted cobra. the few that ive seen at used car lots or for sale privately have been in excellent condition. cobra owners seem to be car people where as most corvette owners are either old men or wives or old men. very few are owned by car people and therefore buying used, they arent as well taken care of.

I love GM's but Dave was right, most people who buy vettes beat the **** out of them, most of the people I know who own vettes beat them up. Not saying that cobra owners are any different, but they are well taken care of for the most part, I have known one a few and most of them take better care of their car than most of us do, I would say better than I do and I clean and wash my car once a week and wax it once a month, change oil ever 3k on the dot, service it when I need to.

Ivan I voted Cobra but since you already have a ford maybe a vette would be great, lol. And I agree with you on not selling the SVO sorry SRJ if you paid some attention to some of the other great cars out there you would know whats up with the SVO's and the tbird turbo coupes, they are Fords greatest secret, great motors, I wish I didn't sell my turbo coupe.

from what i have read the cobras will need work on the rearend and the transmissions dont hold up the best either. The engines seem to be real strong and reliable though and love the twin screw blowers.

A lot of people hate the shifter position also.

the rear ends need soild bushings installed if you beat on them alot.
from what i remember it cost like 1g installed and well far as the transmissions they are the same t56 that come in our cars execept they have 10 spline input shafts which is not really a problem unless your make a ton a power

so for a 2,000 $ (1k for rear bushings and 1 k for pully and tune and acc) you have a very relible 450 rwhp car

sorry guys for the ford

but i would rather have a cobra over a non zo6 vette anyday
but a zo6 vette is a differnt story

They only need work if you launch it hard on tire with wheel hop. Otherwise I have seen a few close to 600 rwhp with no issues. The trans is stronger than the ones in the fbodies.

I voted for the Vette since you've already got another Mustang.
