dumb Question,but do the ls1 valve covers fit ls2's?

Yup any centerbolt valve cover will fit any centerbolt valve cover head. Unless it has after market rockers and stuff.

If you use the valve cover bolts from the engine that you are bolting the covers on to, then yeah, I think your right. I tried to bolt my LS1 covers onto my LS3 and first off, the oil baffles didn't fit. Then I grabbed a different set of LS3 covers and tried to bolt that on to my LS3 using the LS1 valve cover bolts, but they were too long. So I had to find some LS3 valve cover bolts to use.
