Default Blazer K5 Tranny problems

Hoping u guys can help me out, Have an 83 K5 blazer with automatic tranny issues. Problem i have is that its not engaging gears, no forward or reverse. Its a turbo 350 transmission off of a 4x4 78 suburban. Thanks in advance

did you just put the trans in or was it in and then just stopped working?
Kinda sounds like the front pump went out.

i put it in, was running fine on burban i took it out from

Did you have any problems bolting up the torque converter? Was it all the way back towards the tranny when you installed the tranny? If not, as stated there might be a issue with the convert to pump drive.

X2 on the converter. Did u feel it drop in or did u just slide it on?

yea, thats what i kept thinking, wasnt sure it was installed correctly before i bolted tranny in (got lazy). Lesson learned i guess

Remove one of the cooler lines at the radiator or the cooler and put a the lines in a bucket. Have someone start the truck, if no fluid shoots out, then you could have broken the pump gears on installation.
