Angry Got another F#cking ticket...

if memory serves, I think this makes the big #20

[40 year old virgin]That ****** came out of nowhere![/40 virgin]

The bastard was on a bike and hiding behind a billboard...

69 in a 55...

The road I was on was in the middle of nowhere and straight as an arrow. No cars in front of me or around me for that matter. So I was just cruising along and sure enough BAM! Nailed me with the radar gun.

It'd be one thing if I was doing 80 in a 55, but honeslty everyone does around 65 - 70 on that road (Winchester Rd. going from Hemet to Temecula in the French Valley area). Seriously though, who doesn't do 10-15 over the speed limit these days ... If you don't do it, you'll get your *** run over by the guy behind you! If it were an unsafe speed I'd also say it'd be different, but really it's not for that area.

In the end, yes I was wrong, yes I got caught, yes I'm pissed. But the piece of **** didn't have to be hiding on the other side of a hill behind a sign.

Traffic Cops (CHP in this case) suck my nuts...

I am not 100% sure, and I am sure someone will prove me wrong if I am but aren't cops in CA supposed to be visible when clocking you? I thought that was one of the good laws some hippies bitched and moaned about.

At any rate Wes, wouldn't it be time to slow it down? I go the speed limit maybe 5 over if I am in a hurry. Im not an old guy either. LOL, geez man I know you got that race car and all but shoot, it is only a race when there is another person there to race HAHA (sorry had to add some humor).

Ok then I knew it would come out. LOL, this was something I had heard from one person and an officer had said yes but it was one of those areas that they can get around easily. Was not sure thanks Jason for clarifying.

Everytime I've encountered a unit they were in plain sight. It's a little disconcerting to think that they can hide to get 'cha...

TOO MANY! But in my defense, that's like my first ticket in about 5-6 years... so my ratio is definitely dropping

I know right?! Oh well... I guess that'll be my defense when I fight it.

"uh your honor, my pig of a car isn't capable of such speeds. Unlike the pig that pulled me over. He got up to speed very quickly."

Radar detector? I have yet to be ticketed from an officer using a radar gun about 7 years since buying one. Paid for itself many times over in the first year.

And I wish everyone did 10-15 over the limit around East LA. You're lucky if people even go the speed limit even in light traffic, on the freeway or streets. Try to go 10mph over and you fly by everyone and become very noticeable to CHP.

Cops are not allowed to hide that is true...BUT if the are visible from ANY direction its not considered hiding. So most cops don't hide they place themselfs to catch people driving how they normally drive.

Unless the laws have been changed, CHP is suppose to be visible and if at night, their parking lights are suppose to be on.
But that sucks that you got a ticket. Hope all goes well.
