I rebuilt mine myself for less than $300... I would NOT pay 1500 to 2k for a 4l60e rebuilt to stock specs. There are plenty of sponsors selling built transmissions exchanged for around that price.. I've seen quite a few built T56 swaps (trans, xmember, slave, master, pedals, etc) for about $1500 in the classifieds section lately. Dont pay that much for a stock 4l60e.. i see them on craigslist all the time for $400, no core. Also, stupid question, have you checked the fluid level? (running, in park)

Op, I know a spot that will get you out the door for $1000 with a one year warranty or convert you to a six speed for $2200 out the door. Pm for the lead.

Fluid was low but then I added some and it still does the same thing. I wanted to rebuild the trans myself but with school and work I have no time. Thanks for the info.

If it is still doing the same thing then you might of hurt the trans already. Call me, we can check out your trans and let you know if you need a rebuild.
