Default Anyone ever experience this?

I was on the 210 and some guy in a 91-94 explorer pulls up looks at my car then starts asking if I want to race for money because he has a camaro too. I declined his request, but couldn't help but think. What if I was an LEO is this guy for real?

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else.

Yeah I have never had someone purposely try to setup a race on the freeway, some people lack some common sense I guess.

Yeah it's happened to me before. I just nonchalantly reply with, "$1,000 minimum." I'm not being serious of course, but that usually makes them turn away and keep going about their day.

Could have, but the dude looked really grungy, greasy. Could have been deep under cover but just judging by appearance I would say not.

Adam,

I used to have that happen regularly. Guess I'm an old fart now so nobody thinks I'm down. It was always one of 2 types too......first type you can tell were just screwing around, didn't even have anything fast....basically just being retards in front of their friends (and this type was ALWAYS with their friends who look like they just got their DL's within the past 6 months).

Other type was a little more interesting.....always the gangster type (not really the wannabe gangster type either) "wanna run?......but we're going to run for pinks"......sooooo.........best case I lose, worst case I win and they shoot me. Great for me either way.

Yeah I haven't been shot in a while I guess I am due for a shooting. Ya know it's all part of LA life the occasional shooting here and there.

Long time ago at a gas station while I was pumping gas some guy and his friends asked me if I wanted to race his Civic hatch for $500, said he'd have it at the gas station in 5min. He said it was all motor so I asked how much nitrous, he said "200 shot!" like it would scare me. I then turned on my car, so he could hear the cam, and I said "sure, no problem, I'll be at the 7-11 across the street. I'll even give you 10min". Well, by the time I had finished my spicy bite and slurrpy.....what a surprise, no Civic ever showed.
