That is about what I think I should be running. I only put done something like 340whp at cms, but I have a 3200 stall and t-top car. I am running the 24x ignition with a ls pcm. I need to fix a couple problem with my Idle. I am thinking the IAC valve is a problem and I have a P0332 code that keeps comming on; maybe a bad knock sensor.

AI's web site has been posted. You could just buy a short block then install the heads and cam of your choice; it will save you some down time on rebuilding your shortblock. Like already mentioned you will also need all of the supporting mods; headers, cold air intake, electric water pump, NSA roller rockers, fuel injectors things like that. I am leaving a few hp on the table with my short headers; but I wanted it to look smog legal.

Id skip on the underdrive pulley, and the throttlebody wont help unless you have a ported intake manifold and enough power to make use of it. Lloyd elliot and advanced induction will most likely be the top 2 people to send your heads to.

For bolt ons get, 1.6rr, valve spring, pushrods, and maybe lifters. These will be to support any cam. Headers help out a lot too, and +1 on suspension.

For AI's website, google Advanced Induction. Should be the first link. The stall would mainly depend on the cam you go with. Theyll recommend one for you.

All this is going to add up pretty quick, so be ready to stretch your budget.

Yeah dont waste your time on the Underdrive pulley or Throttle body. Think the 58MM you get max intake at like 65% throttle. Only worth it if you do LT4 intake and P&P heads. We still run the stock TB.

ZLow28 has good points.
p.s. we run a custom grind cam with stock heads just upgraded Springs and retainers.

Yes, you can have a custom cam and still keep stock heads. But nobody will be able to tell if you have stock or ported heads by just looking at the engine bay. Also keeping your heads stock will really limit the size of your cam. If you can afford heads, id say go for it. It will open up a lot more options and make better use of a custom cam.

My '97 SS w/ CC503 cam, LT headers, and TB made easy work of most mildly modded LS1's. That cam is one of the largest off the shelf cams that will work effectively with stock heads.

If I were you I'd find myself a good shop and let them shove you in the right direction. There's too much to learn/know when it comes to not waisting money. Btw, the specs you gave can be any of 700 different cams. Pm if you're serious about going fast.... (I know this spot in Anaheim.)
