Temp. Question?? I jus recently got my car back on the road after 5months,2002 LS1 Camaro..filled up all the fluids(had to put water instead of coolant cuz its all i had at the time) and the temp is at the half-way point Even after I let the car run a bit..Is This Normal/Average Temp for LS1's to be at?
Distilled water and a couple bottles of water wetter is what I use. Stays cooler than glycol (dexcool). Water is ok if its distilled, and youre not in Alaska. Regular tap water has a lot of calcium and minerals that will deposit in your radiator with time and it can be corrosive.
