Hey all,
I am looking to buy a pullout LY5 5.3L for my 71 Chevelle. I'd like to send it somewhere to get it cleaned up, looked through and some improvements installed prior to dropping it in my Chevelle. I've looked across the web and can't find much regarding shops in Phoenix that work on (really know) the LS engine platform...
ANY suggestions?![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Thanks !!

Depends if you really want to send it to a machine shop (engine builder) or have a shop like Top Gear or Loud Pedal check it out to the extent they can. Much different work IMO. However either of those shops, as well as a couple others, are knowledgable enough to be able to determine if the engine should be sent to a machine shop prior to them modifying them to your liking.
