Or it could be short for ls l100 ls1.....dont be such a close minded fool
and I understand http://www.nadaguides.com/cars/2002/saturn/sl is where your probably getting your information..
But seriously, do you expect a guy who drives a Saturn to be car savvay ?? I had to ignore some comments a guy made last night about his LT1 350 in his bronco, and his LT1 350 in his 2002 firebird.......who had a bolt on 2003 mustang GT that destroyed completly built LS1's on motor to motor...
There is still nothing wrong with his craigslist add and your still digging your hole deeeper.....
and again it could just be a damn typo...

This is funny.
There was an L-series and an S-series.
L series (mid-size sedan and wagon): LS, LS1, and LS2 for sedans. "W" for wagon.
S series (compact coupe, sedan, wagon): SL, SL1, SL2, etc.

Dude just give up, you are 100% wrong, there was nothing wrong with this CL ad and now that people are correcting you, you are getting bent out of shape. There was a Saturn LS1 hell I saw them in the dealerships when they were new, that was a trim for Saturn at that time. We are not the nerds, you are the one browsing CL and apparently getting a kick out of people with correct info.

lol, so we're "****** nerds" because we can read a Craigslist ad and know that a Saturn LS1 is a real car? My 65 year old father knows Saturn LS1s exist because of all the Craigslist ads for them, and how to use Craiglist in general, and he can barely figure out how to use "internet". Hardly a "****** nerd".
