I'll be joining you guys in Oahu this summer. Still debating on what to do with the firechicken. I'm not sure if I'm shipping it over or not, or leaving it stateside with a buddy.

I know speeding is a big deal in Hawaii and it seems like its not worth "playing" too hard on the streets. Are there other reasons that I might want to have it out there? Whats the sellers market like for fbodies out there?

Not exactly sure how good the market is out here as i rarely see f-bodies but in the past week i have had like 4 random people ask me if my car is for sell. As far as bringing it out here there isn't a track out here but if u like just driving your car the weather is almost always nice so you can drive it pretty much whenever you want.

 

go to Military Hotrod Club and check thread anyone stationed in Hawaii.youll find info. there.we have a track here nowjust keeping it low key for now until they can get insurance for liability.Ill be at Jack in the box tonight around 2200hrs bringing the blk. Camaro Ill be glad to talk to you and give you the scoop on the track.ran both f bodys there already.BTW were racing tomorrow 1/8mi. for now.

Hey guys, I've lived in Hawaii for two years now and there has never really been a reason for me to do anything with my car. I haven't been on the site in a while, but when I moved here I had a 2011 ss and got rid of it because there was no car scene out here, but I missed driving it, so now I have a 2013 ss and am ready to start playing with the car again.

I haven't done anything to it yet, but have been casually asking around for people that can actually tune a GM car before I start modding the new car. Also, I would like to know where everyone gets their parts from.

I love all gm cars, and miss the racing scene. I would love to get back into it and start hanging out with other car guys.

 

what kind of parts are we talking about?either get it from one of the vendors here/summit/jegs or amazon with free shipping if you are a prime member.

 

I'm talking about heads, cam, headers, intake, fuel injectors. The basic power adders. Anything that would require a good tune after installing.

I was just wondering if there is a good place on island or if I'm gonna have to have everything shipped in.

 

from experience IMO you wont find those parts on island if you do would be lucky.Rons Performance maybe I doubt it.since you have a 5th gen. check Camaro five.com like said here.Ive been ordering parts for the 3 cars from here and the corvette forum site.thats our disadvantage being here you will have to have everything shipped in.
