Default DMV question

So if I buy a commercial vehicle from out of state, do I have to pay anything since the plates are expired since February? Do I pay here in California? I plan on driving it from TN to CA any don't want to risk getting pulled over

No you don't at least I never have. But we're you planning on registering it first then driving it? I don't see how you can get a permit. Maybe call that states dmv and ask if you can get one

I brought my camaro from colorado with plates expired for over a year and they didnt charge me anything extra up there in sacramento.

i think they only care about how long the car was actually in ca before you registerd it.
