Default Help with 1989 Z28

My friend is changing the TPI on his 1989 RS Camaro to a carb. What does he need to do. The motor is a 305. Thanks.

I personally would keep it TPI as I would consider it a waste of money to switch to carb. If this is a circle track car then yeah just basic manifold swap and done. Eliminate whatever out of the harness but I'm sure someone on third gen would want the whole setup.

Thirdgen.org will be a good source of information. You will need to regulate your fuel pressure down for the carb also. This swap can get a little expensive, and the ROI on a 305 may not be there. A 355 with a cam would be where you would want to remove the TPI and replace with a carb to get the top end. Also you may kill any resale value with this swap because of California smog. I have a 1985 Iroc on craigslist that is carb swamped(355w/cam) and no one in California has contacted me on it.
