Usually on most cars you want around a half tank of gas, cruising the freeway between 40-65 mph for at least 10 miles in mild weather without AC. Any extremes and the monitors won't run. Example: too high or low ambient temps, driving too slow or too fast, empty gas tank, excessive engine loads and pending faults can cause the monitors to not run

If you've driven over 100 miles, and it still hasn't passed the monitor there's a good possibility there's a problem. As a general rule of thumb if everything is all good, all obd2 monitors run and pass within 10 miles on most cars
