Looking for engine machining/assembly in SoCal Looking for a good shop to machine/assemble my forged 370ci LQ4 shortblock (or longblock for the right price) in SoCal. Have most parts. May need to buy bearings if the ones I have don't have the correct tolerances. Prefer shops that know how to machine things properly & and install things properly, like clean/proper installation of the front timing cover, installing the pistons in the correct orientation, etc.. The last place I went to didn't do that. I won't name names.
Needs to be bored .030 over using an LS style plate & matched to BNIB Wiseco pistons. One cyl has some corrosion which should be fixed after the boring. May need checking for cracks as it will be boosted with a D1SC & high compression under boost (10.x:1 NA).
Stock LQ4 crank, lower mileage, was in LQ4 shortblock which was working when torn down.
BNIB Callies Compstar rods.
I know about QMP but would like other recommendations.

Arce engines in El Cajon did my rebuild. No problems so far. Nice guy and small company. He does asphalt car racing on the side. Does a lot of GM stuff.
Affordable price and was done in 1 month.
