Engine through the bottom
Engine through the bottom Anyone in OC dropped a 4th gen LS out of the bottom? I'm like 2/3 of the way done, but have a few questions. I don't want to disconnect my AC is the big one. Is that a must? I already have a good portion of it done if anyone wants to stop by the week after work and have a few beers and point at bolts I should remove I'd appreciate it. I normally go through the top, but was told this was way easier like this. So far it seems easier I guess a little guidance and then next time I can do it on my own.
I have done it several times. Disconnecting the AC makes it more simple. However you can unbolt the AC compressor from the engine and zip tie it up and out of the way while you remove the engine out of the bottom. I think I have done that on a car once.
