What to do...
I have a 1953 chevy truck.
I'm thinking of putting an 6.2l LS3 in it but not really sure. I want something good and solid so we can do road trips and may be even do some towing of a trailer.
I want it to be automatic and column shift.
Thinking of changing the rear end also since it currently has the stock 236-6 and manual trans.
Any suggestions?
Also looking at a used setup to keep the cost down.
Thanks
Mark

LSx makes for a great, modern, reliable power train. Many have done it in older cars.
You could find a donor car and harvest the engine, motor and ECU..or buy just that from a junk yard.
GM makes "E-Rod" crate engine kits with all the wiring/ECU/CATS etc as another option
