Cali emissions Loophole? Just wondering if any of you guys have found a loophole or if you're swapping out heads/cam before u smog. I lived there for about 6 months and would like to go back there sometime and live but it just really sucks about emissions in most counties. Here in IL we have racecar exemption on top of the fact that if you're obd2 you can pass as long as you have no ses they dont even smog ya

register your car in a county that only requires smog when you first register in california and again only if you sell it.not every two years.if you cant a p.o box then pay a resident to use their address .i have heard of people who have done this and its worked for them.

no.yours is a basic county meaning every two years but no dyno just 2500rpm and idle

Register in Il, otherwise..... Hookups Baby! Yeah C.A is hella Gay on emissions... Thakfully one of my best Bro's is a smog guy, and a fellow LS1 owner.

... easy for a chick to say though! I bet some guys would do it if they could run some crazy setup.So yeah... get a hook up... find a stupid tech, or find some way to pull a fast one on them i.e. fake E.O stickers. Anything internal, and as long as it idles decent they'll never know.
where can I get some of these hook ups.
I dont mean to be demanding for a hook up or anything, but I refuse to follow the smog laws when it comes to moding my vette
