Default Passed smog!

Heres my results.

Heres what I did and well got lucky and passed. I say luck because I thought I wasn't going to pass since the last time that I had to go for inspection I only passed by one point.

So anyways heres what I did. I drove my car for about 40 minutes at a good speed in the freeway, I was letting the engine breath, opened her up. I did this because I have heard this helps in passing smog. I also down shifted to 3rd on the highway for awhile.

And then i went to the smog station. I then let the car on and waited another 10 minutes before I got my car tested. Its a very nervous waiting game. Also if this helps, the prob was done on the driver side of the exhuast.

Also what I was VERY surprised was that the guy testing my car actually manually downshifted my car -A4. At least I think so because it went from a normal sound -slp loudmouth- to a loud fierce exhuast sound with a push of the gas pedal at a good rate.

Anyways I passed and wanted to share what I did so this may help out someone else. Good luck.

I had to take off the hpp3 and I have lid, 2 stage performance air foam filter, slp -y pipe and loudmouth and bellow. Edit:

Forgot to add that, I have had the low coolant light on for a long while now and I disconnected the wire and this had no effect on the smog test.

Well I didnt haven any problem with the visual because the JBA shorties are legal and they cant see the cam.. the EGR, AIR system, etc are hooked up and working. They didnt give a crap about the SLP lid.

The visual has kept me from buying LT's because of the hassle and I guess they're supposed to be cracking down on illegal mods supposedly.

Now that I passed smog I was going to get headers, but then Im thinking torque converter then now im thinking about rims. Of coures I say this every month. Gas prices sucks and im sure a lot of people are going to think about how much they upgrade to a more performance minded car.
