Is True Duals Illegal In CA?
Is True Duals Illegal In CA? Want to get a true dual exhuast setup and have heard that it is legal and also that it isn't legal. So please give me your opinions and if it is illegal does this mean I can't pass smog in CA too?
heh, well...i've heard some people using cats and through a tune can pass the sniffer, but you'll fail visual. but hey, anythings legal if you go to a small shop w/extra $$
you might wanna loose your sportlines, you'd be dragging your exhaust everywhere you go (not just over speed bumps, actually, you couldnt make it over speedbumps w/both), unless you have a very good shop do it like strictly perf in van nuys

tru dual that ****!... but seriously u can alwasy find a shop that will pass u u just got to have the right **** with u ...$$$$$ and anything is possible...how is the clearance rigth now with the 2 inch drop and Paceetters..im thinking about lowerning my car .

orangedreamachine, where in modesto are you? i used to live there and visit every so often.
trust me, i had sportlines, i took em off cus the ride was **** (but i loved the stance). the way 99% of shops out there install true duals on our cars, you will not be able to drive it as DD with ease lowered (sportlines). Strictly Performance in van nuys has done a TD setup on a guys SS on ls2.com that i saw in person, its the best job i've ever seen, 3" all the way totally tucked up, doesnt hang down and goes over the axle out the back. if you're serious about TD's, take it to strictly, they charged the guy about $1300 including header install i think.
