On Friday night, we headed out to our local track LACR (DA = 5500 at 6pm dropping to 3900' by 10pm). The car was running very consistent and hooked a lot better. It was cutting 1.58-1.59 60's all night and running 11.48-11.43 @ 117 without the N2O. I was able to go into the final round in the trophy class, where I won another 2nd place ... thanks to Jack Beckman for helping with my reaction times, I got a slew of great reaction times (.001 - .087). On the final round we hooked up the nitrous for Strictly Performance, it ran a 10.35 @ 130 hitting the rev limiter before the 1000' mark. We didn't get a timeslip as they closed LACR as we were running the final round. We did video tape it though. The gears (4.33) kept us from going faster and getting close to that elusive 9 second pass at LACR. Next time we will have it. We have on order a set of Aerospace brakes and 3.73 gears. We will try again and the DA should be lower and possibly allowing us to run into the high 9s.
