For those spraying in CA..
For those spraying in CA.. Hey fellas.
Just have a quick question. Currently plan on putting heads on my cammed car and also spraying a 100 shot (dry) on top of that. With the heads my static compression ratio will be around 11:1. With that high of a compression will I be able to spray on pump gas (91 octane here in CA)?
I do plan on upgrading my fuel system to support the added power so I should be OK in that department.

I like the insurance of putting in a few gallons of race gas before running on the squeeze. If you put a simple retard box wired into your nitrous system that would make it safe for sure. I'd pull 3-4 degrees out when spraying. The retard box makes it so you aren't giving up power the rest of the time, like you would be if you just dialed back your advance by 4 degrees all the time.

I sprayed a 125 shot on an 11.2-1 motor with 8-1 dynamic compression with no timing pulled out. I have 28.5 max timing for wot. Every car will be a little different so you really need to just do it and tune around what you will be spraying. You can program in some timing retard on a dry system based off the iat senors. It is under a timing vs temp table.

yeah NAWZ is awesome.. like i walked into a "Speed Shop" and had to get NAWZ because my car topped out at 160mph.. so i had to get one of the big bottles.. no wait.. i got 2 of the big ones!!.. then when i was racing.. my laptop was flashing a danger sign.. and said critial manifold pressure.. but i just slamed it down and yelled " SHUT UP" and kept on racing... im the man... NAWZ is awesome..
